CITY LADS FC & CHIPPA UNITED RECLAIM THEIR TITLE ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE 2025 EASTERN CAPE ENGEN KNOCKOUT CHALLENGE

East Landon fans were treated to a thrilling conclusion to the final leg of the 2025 Engen Knockout Challenge at Dale College, as City Lads FC and Chippa United reclaimed their provincial crowns in style securing, their place at the prestigious Engen Champ of Champs in October.

The Eastern Cape’s top youth teams on the final day delivered electrifying football that lived up to the tournament’s legacy as a launchpad for South Africa’s future stars.

In the girls’ division, City Lads FC edged out defending champions Nav Galaxy Ladies with a hard-fought 1–0 victory, reclaiming the title they last held in 2023. The match was a tactical battle from start to finish, with City Lads’ discipline and determination proving the difference.

In the boys’ division, Chippa United sealed a confident 2–0 win over Red Lions, marking their return to the top after missing out in 2024.

The tournament embodied the spirit of the 2025 theme “It’s Your Moment, Future Diski Legends” as players stepped into their spotlight with pride and purpose.

With all provincial rounds complete, all roads now lead to the Engen Champ of Champs, where City Lads FC and Chippa United will proudly represent the Eastern Cape. The tournament will see the best youth teams from across the country battle it out for national honours.
