COACH THABO SENONG LEADS INAUGURAL BECOMING A FUTURE DISKI LEGEND COACHING WORKSHOP TO STRENGTHEN DEVELOPMENT COACHING AND TACTICAL INNOVATION

In a continued effort to elevate youth football and enhance coach education, Coach Thabo Senong hosted an engaging workshop focused on Coaching Styles, Tactical Insights, and Coach Development.

The session brought together passionate coaches and technical leaders for a day of learning, reflection, and practical engagement, all aimed at improving how the modern game is taught and managed.

Under the theme “Analyze Coaching Styles, Provide Tactical Insights, and Elevate Coach Development,” Coach Senong guided participants through a series of impactful sessions designed to sharpen their understanding of modern coaching principles.

The workshop opened with an in-depth analysis of coaching styles and game strategies, where participants explored how different philosophies influence player performance, motivation, and team dynamics. Coach Senong emphasized adaptability and the importance of aligning a coaching approach with player strengths and competition demands.

An interactive discussion followed, creating space for coaches to share their experiences, challenges, and best practices. The exchange focused on leadership, communication, and innovation in football coaching,  key elements for growth and success in the sport.

In a hands-on workshop activity, participants applied what they learned by designing comprehensive match plans that covered team selection, tactical structure, and in-game adjustments. The exercise promoted collaboration, critical thinking, and strategic decision-making under realistic football scenarios.

Speaking after the session, Coach Senong highlighted the importance of continuous learning and mentorship in South African football coaching.

“Our role as coaches goes beyond match days, it’s about guiding players, developing adaptable strategies, and fostering a culture of growth,” he said. “Workshops like these help us learn from each other and raise the overall standard of our game.”

The workshop reaffirmed the commitment to developing technically equipped and tactically intelligent coaches who can make a lasting impact in youth football structures and beyond.
