South Africa’s largest youth football tournament, the Engen Knockout Challenge is back for an exciting 22nd edition.
The race towards a place in the Provincial Plays Offs is officially underway across the country, with the Western Cape currently hosting their play offs to decide the two representatives in the Boys U-18 and Girls U-20.
The Boys U-18 youth football action got underway on Sunday, 07 April whilst Girls U-20 got underway on Sunday 14 April. Qualifiers are set to conclude on Sunday, 21 April where the winners will guarantee themselves a ticket to the Engen Knockout Challenge later this year.
In the 2023 edition, Stellenbosch FC represented the Boys at the Engen Champ of Champions after emerging victorious at the Engen Knockout Challenge, while Cape Town Roses represented the Girls where they finished in 2nd position.
The Engen Knockout Challenge remains South Africa’s largest youth football competition with every season producing quality football players who eventually go on to graduate into the Professional ranks of South African football.
